Concerns over alleged Cambridge exam paper leaks continue to grow after the Mathematics Paper 2 exam was reportedly leaked online before the scheduled exam time.
According to reports, the paper was circulated through various social media accounts and messaging platforms ahead of the examination, raising serious concerns among students, parents, and educational authorities.
Cambridge had earlier issued a statement regarding recent paper leak allegations and said it was monitoring the situation. However, students and parents continue to express frustration over repeated incidents involving leaked exam papers.
Federal Education Minister Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui has now taken official notice of the alleged Cambridge paper leaks and expressed concern over the situation.
The minister said that hardworking students should not suffer because of weaknesses in the examination system. He added that no one would be allowed to play with the future of students and stressed the need for a transparent and fair examination process.
Dr. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui also pointed out that similar incidents were reported last year and urged Cambridge to further strengthen its examination security system. He said repeated paper leaks are causing severe mental stress for students and parents across the country.
The Federal Education Minister has directed the Inter Board Committee of Chairmen (IBCC) to hold an immediate meeting with Cambridge authorities to discuss the matter and ensure the protection of students’ interests.
He further stated that there would be no compromise on merit and transparency in examinations. The minister demanded a complete investigation into the incident and called for all facts to be brought before the public.
According to the minister, restoring students’ trust in the examination system remains the government’s top priority.
