A major administrative lapse has surfaced in Punjab’s public education system after authorities discovered that the annual examination results of nearly 30,000 government school students had not been uploaded to the official online system.
According to sources, thousands of students' examination records remain incomplete despite multiple deadlines having passed. The failure to upload annual exam data has raised concerns about the accuracy and availability of students’ academic records.
The Punjab Examination Commission (PEC) has taken serious notice of the issue and sought explanations from the schools that have yet to submit the required results online.
In Lahore, dozens of government schools failed to upload students’ results within the stipulated timeframe. Following the delay, the District Education Authority (DEA) Lahore released a list of schools that did not comply with reporting requirements.
Schools identified in the list include government institutions located in Karbat, Ghaziabad, Ladhar, Charar Pind, R.A. Bazar, Walton, Govind, and Customs Colony. These schools allegedly failed to submit answer scripts and examination records on time.
Education officials believe that administrative negligence and delays at the school level prevented the timely uploading of annual examination data. As a result, thousands of students could face delays or complications regarding their academic results.
The PEC has warned school administrations to immediately complete the pending data submission process and ensure compliance with examination reporting procedures. Authorities have indicated that further action may be taken against institutions that fail to address the issue promptly.
The incident has highlighted the importance of efficient digital record management in the education sector, particularly as educational authorities continue to modernize examination and student assessment systems across Punjab.
