Punjab Police Inspector General (IG) Punjab has announced a major welfare initiative for the children of martyred police officers by deciding to provide laptops to students who were previously deprived of this facility.
According to official details, all police regions across Punjab have been directed to submit complete information about the eligible students. The initiative aims to support the education of children of police martyrs who are currently studying in BA, FA, IT, and ICS programs but have not yet received laptops.
Authorities have been instructed to provide details including the rank of the martyred officer, student’s name, contact number, and the academic program in which the child is enrolled.
The directive was issued by the DIG Welfare and Finance on the orders of the IG Punjab, and letters have already been sent to all concerned officers for immediate implementation.
The move has been widely appreciated as an important step toward supporting the education and future of families of police martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
