Sindh Government has decided to pass all students this year. Exam of only elective subject shall be conducted and marks in the compulsory subjects shall be allocated based on students' performance in elective subjects. Students who fail in elective subjects shall be passed by giving them passing marks.
The steering committee of the Sindh Education Department has decided that ninth and first-year examinations will be held in July and August this year while practical examinations will also be conducted. It has been decided to give passing marks to the students who failed in the elective subjects. The examinations from 1st to 8th will be held in schools this year.
A meeting of the steering committee of the education department was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Sindh Education Minister Saeed Ghani. It was decided in the meeting that the examinations would be for elective subjects only while any child who failed in these subjects would be given pass marks.
