Karachi: The Sindh Higher Education Commission (SHEC) has launched a new scholarship-supported training program to help university students learn blockchain technology and develop digital skills needed in emerging industries.
Under the initiative, selected students will receive an 85 percent scholarship, reducing the program fee from Rs. 33,300 to just Rs. 5,000.
The program is designed to provide practical training in one of the fastest-growing technology fields and will benefit 160 students from universities across Sindh.
To deliver the training, SHEC has partnered with four leading higher education institutions: NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi, IBA Karachi, Mehran University of Engineering and Technology Jamshoro, and Sukkur IBA University.
Students enrolled in the program will receive hands-on instruction in blockchain fundamentals, blockchain security, decentralized applications (DApps), cryptocurrency concepts, smart contracts, and smart contract development.
Officials say the initiative aims to equip students with industry-relevant skills, improve their employability, and prepare them for future opportunities in the digital economy.
The scholarship program reflects SHEC's efforts to promote advanced technology education and encourage students to explore innovative fields that are shaping the future of business and technology worldwide.
