Summer vacations announced in Colleges and universities in Punjab

Punjab Higher education Department has announced summer vacations in Government, autonomous, and private colleges and universities in Punjab. Universities and colleges will remain closed from July 12 to July 31, according to a notification issued by the Department of Higher Education.

It is mentioned in the notification that public and private universities would be allowed to conduct examinations. The board exams will be held as per the schedule. It may be recalled that earlier the Punjab government had announced holidays in schools across the province in view of the increase in the intensity of heat.

In this regard, a statement issued by the provincial education minister Murad Rass said that all government and private schools across Punjab will be closed on Thursday from July 1 to August 1, 2021. But later on, it was notified that only Government schools in Punjab will remain closed from July 01.

On the other hand, summer holidays have also been announced in the schools of the federal capital Islamabad. Islamabad will have summer vacations from July 18 to August 2.
